ABOUT THE ARTIST
Acclaimed by critics and collectors alike, Trevor V. Swanson is recognized as one of today’s most accomplished wildlife artists. Coming from a long line of talented artists, he began painting at a young age and quickly developed an instinctive understanding of the realism, detail, and value systems essential to wildlife art. Through dedicated study, he refined his technical skills and launched his professional career at just 20 years old.
Within a few short years, Trevor’s work was featured in prestigious art shows, museums, and private collections around the world. By age 25, he had earned several major honors, including the coveted “Artist of the Year” award from the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep.
An avid outdoorsman, Trevor rarely ventures into the wilderness without a camera or sketchbook. His creative process begins with firsthand encounters in nature, and his search for subject matter has taken him across North America, Europe, and Africa—from the cliffs of Canada to the deserts of Mexico and the swamplands of Africa. These experiences inform paintings that capture both the majesty of wildlife and the emotion of untamed landscapes.
Working in intense realism, Trevor focuses on the subtle details that bring his subjects to life—light filtering through trees, the texture of fur, and the quiet drama of a fleeting moment in nature. His work also reflects a deep belief in conservation and humanity’s responsibility to preserve the natural world for future generations.
Trevor lives in Phoenix with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
