ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The spirit of man is what makes him unique above all of God’s creations.” Gary Lee Price’s bronzes reflect that idea—sculpture with meaning, created to uplift, inspire, and celebrate the human spirit. His life’s work centers on lifting others through art.
Price’s work is represented in public and private collections worldwide. The Hong Kong Central Library, one of the largest libraries in the world, features 12 of his life-size bronze sculptures, including children reading, playing, and releasing doves, along with playful works like Puffed Up Princes at the children’s library entrance.
Major installations include Celebration!, depicting children soaring around a globe. Versions of this work have been installed in Surrey, England and Decatur, Georgia, and a 22-foot version stands at the headquarters of Nu Skin International in Nu Skin Enterprises in Provo, Utah. His 12-foot angel Messenger in Iceland honors early immigrants to the United States, and his 15-foot Communion for the United Methodist Church in Brentwood, Tennessee reflects his recurring theme of human connection through hands.
Across his career, Price has explored themes of unity, compassion, and cooperation in works such as Synergy, Helping Hand, and Circle of Peace. His art consistently emphasizes uplifting others and the importance of shared humanity.
He has also been commissioned to create the proposed 300-foot Statue of Responsibility, inspired by Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning, intended as a companion monument to the Statue of Liberty on the U.S. West Coast.
Price often teaches workshops on creativity and manifestation, sharing his belief that art can empower and elevate human experience.
